CPI W2002 Series Rod & Tube Thermal Switches use factory calibrated set points at any temperature within the range of 0F to 1850F. This switch has a single #8-32 binding head screw and a threaded base for nut/screw mounting. Like all W2 series thermals, it can operate in momentary probe ambient temperatures from -65F to 2000F and shows excellent accuracy. The switch is largely immune to extreme environments and hermetically sealed for protection against the effects of moisture, sand and dirt, oil etc… These Rod and Tube thermal switches are also designed to withstand severe shock and vibration with no shift in calibration.
W Series switches are similar to our X Series except grounding of the electrical circuit is through the switch body.
In all our Rod & Tube bimetal Thermal Switch products, contact movement is achieved via differences in the coefficients of expansion of two materials, in this case the outer tube and the inner rod. This family of switches is characterized by very rapid response time and very high temperature sensing.
